At early stage trained and received coating industry certification from the Australian Corrosion industry for coating inspection for my own company and as needed for others including the opposition.
Employing 25 staff he carried on and was active in the Hunter Valley, NSW, and Queensland carrying out all types of coating inspection for both factory and on-site settings.
He Has experience in a diverse range of coating not only for steelwork but also concrete coatings, hot metal sprayed coatings, galvanising, elastomeric coatings and Ultra high build coatings.
The last 10 years he has achieved NACE 2 international inspection standard.
Ive enjoyed the industry immensely – its diversity is amazing and I like to share my practical knowledge with all to ensure protective coatings are applied as per specification and to proper conditions.
Hoping to continue in the role for more years to come.

Jess became an abrasive blaster and spray painter in 2012 after completing her Certificate III at Tafe.
Her interest sparked when painting her first car, she is passionate about the industry as it’s so rewarding to be able to transform items of all different sizes from being rusted and neglected to brand new again.
Knowing that your work will be beneficial for years to come is why we do it. The vast array of testing that comes with the industry keeps it interesting. It’s not just some paint and a paintbrush.
Jess completed her Nace II in 2013 to learn more about the industry and to be able to keep work accountable and meet specifications required for jobs.
It has led her to travel multiple states and be a part of many different projects. Having the hands-on experience and passion makes every job exciting to be a part of.
“I would be happy to recommend Parlin to anyone that requires paint inspections, I have always found them to be professional and courteous in all my dealings with them. We have asked them to go to many remote worksites over the years, they always were happy to attend and perform the works.”
